Certificate III in Aged Care Work – 14 units to complete
This certificate would prepare a person to care for and provide physical and sociological support to the elderly in low/high care and dementia facilities. You will gain skills such as providing personal care, occupational health and safety, infection control, communication, team work and develop compassion and empathy to care for elderly. This course requires you to have the numeracy and literacy skills to complete written documents as well as read and interpret workplace documentation.
Certificate III in Home and Community Care – 14 units to complete
This certificate would prepare a person to care and provide physical and sociological support to the elderly living within their own homes in our community. You will gain skills such as providing personal care, occupational health and safety, maintaining client’s independence, along with activities of daily living. You will gain skills to be able to communicate within our growing multicultural society. This course requires you to have the numeracy and literacy skills to complete workplace documentation.
