Apprenticeships Plus is a not-for-profit, independent company committed to providing employment and training opportunities for jobseekers through apprenticeships and traineeships.

We do this by employing apprentices and trainees, and placing them with “host” employers for their on-the-job training. This arrangement frees the host employer from the burdens of paperwork and administration, and provides a safety net for both the apprentice/trainee and the host employer.

The host business has all the advantages of carefully selected apprentices and/or trainees to meet their specific requirements.

The apprentice/trainee is assured of ongoing mentoring and support as they work towards their nationally-recognised qualification.

Apprenticeships Plus works closely with schools, businesses, training and community organisations to promote the value of apprenticeships and traineeships. We work with business to generate new employment opportunities.

We are a foundation member of the Group Training Association of Victoria, and Group Training Australia — the largest employer network of apprentices and trainees in Australia, employing more than 40,000 apprentices and trainees nationally.

Apprenticeships Plus is one of the largest Group Training Companies in Victoria, employing more than 700 apprentices and trainees in over 50 different vocations across the wider Melbourne metropolitan area and many regional areas.

We commenced operations in 1983, celebrating our 25^th year of operations in 2008. Our longevity is due to our excellent reputation for quality and service — for apprentices, trainees and host employers — and reflects our commitment to ensuring that the employment of an apprentice or trainee will be a beneficial and rewarding experience for employers, apprentices and trainees alike.

Apprenticeships Plus is also a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) delivering accredited training to apprentices and trainees in the diverse areas of Engineering, Business, and Aged Care. We are a member of ACPET — the Australian Council for Private Education and Training, so students can be assured of quality training.
