Environment Statement
APlus Apprentice + Trainee Services (APlus) is committed to reducing any negative impact on the environment resulting from its operations as far as is reasonably possible.
The emissions from all of our company vehicles are fully off-set each year through the purchase and planting of native trees in Victoria. For the past three years we have supported the work of Fifteen Trees. Fifteen Trees with help from the Ballarat Environment Network (BEN) recently planted 330 trees in The Meredith Police Reserve to carbon offset the APlus fleet. Over the past three years we have helped plant 1125.
APlus is proud to be a supporter of Fifteen Trees and play a local part in the global green movement.
Carbon offsets are purchased to cover all air travel. We use paper from sustainably farmed trees, and actively encourage all staff to recycle all paper and other recyclable waste products. We encourage the use of electronic copies of documents wherever possible, in order to reduce paper usage, and actively seek to reduce our use of electricity through the implementation of sensor lights, office-specific light switches, and environmentally-friendly lighting.
Grievance Statement
APlus Apprentice + Trainee Services (APlus) will take any issue raised by an employee, student, Host Employer or other stakeholder seriously and provide a fair and effective response in an effort to resolve the matter. We prefer to address issues through discussion and mutual agreement before they escalate to a formal grievance. A suitable mediator may be appointed to assist in the resolution of the issue if required.
APlus will take all necessary steps to ensure that people involved in raising an issue or formal grievance or involved in its resolution are not treated unfairly or suffer repercussions or victimisation.
Raising a formal grievance will require the issue to be documented in writing and the matter will be dealt with using the APlus Grievance Procedure. An independent person will be appointed who will investigate and mediate between the parties in order to reach agreement and resolve the matter. The investigation details, outcomes, recommendations and any action taken is documented using a Grievance Form. The parties to the grievance will be briefed on the outcome of the grievance and provided with a copy of the form, including the outcome.
